First Post!

Hi! This blog will document my work related to a course called Mechatronics (Design 650) at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Michael Shiloh (teachmetomake.com) will lead us in learning about programming the Arduino family of micro-controller boards (tiny open-source computers) to interface with various sensors, motors, displays, speakers, etcetera. I'll end up with a large, brightly colored jumble of wires as well as the skills for prototyping all sorts of interactive and automated stuff. Perhaps a robot backpack. Perhaps an automatic trombone. Who knows. Stay tuned and find out.
